Trauma Support Services
The Mental Health Association's Trauma program is a multifaceted program that provides education, advocacy, support, empowerment and drop-in services for trauma survivors.
This program also provides current education on Trauma issues to peers and professionals. This is accomplished through affiliation with various treatment team, community task forces, prevention programs, and by providing conferences and on site workshops to agencies and/or peer groups.
The MHA in Genesee County's Trauma Services Program provides:
- A safe, supportive drop in/phone support center
- Crisis intervention and advocacy services
- Support groups
- Workshops, conferences, and trainings on Trauma issues
- A task force to identify the specialized needs of trauma survivors in Genesee County and implement changes needed to meet those needs.
